I have a strong background in Psychology and Management and on coming to NZ in 1999 broadened my horizons by developing a career in the Health and Fitness Industry.  I have competed over numerous codes as an athlete both in the UK and NZ, believing strongly that athletic accomplishment came with the need to balance the mind, one’s health and one’s relationships.

 

I originally trained as a Psychiatric Nurse, completing my registration in 1986 My passion for the potential of human accomplishment infused my desire for knowledge and skill accomplishment and in 1989, I was promoted to the position of Charge Nurse on a busy 29-bedded Acute Psychiatric ward.   The psychodynamically charged training prepared a fertile ground to return to University and I gained a Post Graduate Diploma from Swansea University in 1997.

 

 I came to New Zealand in 1999, for a well-earned rest, for one year but soon fell in love with the country, its people and the natural energy and decided to remain here.

I was selected to help set up the Rotorua Early Intervention Service in 2000 and here I first developed a particular passion for working with young people. 

 

Following the death of my Sister in 2002, I became inspired and focused on developing my own business Integrative Body Obeisance (IBO), with the aim of providing a truly holistic service for genuinely motivated people seeking health, success and empowerment. IBO Integrative Body Obeisance

 

I am indebted to a group of wonderful people who became and still are my clients, and who supported and encouraged me to continue in my journey of becoming an effective ‘Agent of Change’.

 

I have contracted my services to a wide range of clients including private clients, Athletes, Actors, and organizations such as Evolve Youth Service, Telecom, The Ministry of Education and The Elite Sport Academy.  

Clinically, I can assist those with anxiety, stress, depression and grief. Poor motivation, self image, time management and assertiveness skills. 

 

I am able to draw on an array of psychotherapeutic and physical interventions to assist insight, acceptance, responsibility, growth and ultimately personal success and accomplishment.

I really do enjoy my occupation, becoming genuinely excited when solutions and  goals are identified,  I am a focused, committed and resourceful Holistic Health Practitioner, and  have Full  Professional Registration with the following Regulatory Agencies
